- Trudy Smith - Executive Director: Trudy Smith has served as Executive Director of Executive Service Corps of the Triangle since April 2006. She earned an Advanced Certificate of Nonprofit Leadership in a specialized program at Duke University in 2008. She is currently serving on several local nonprofit boards, including the Durham Art Guild and Girls Rock NC, as well as the Advisory Council of the RSVP Wake program. She is also on the national Board of the Executive Services Corps Affiliate Network and was elected for a second term as Board Chair in September 2010. Trudy has a BA in history from Duke University, a Master’s in Management from Georgia Tech and a Master’s of Science in Personnel and Employee Relations from Georgia State University.
- Kate Mazza- Associate Director (Wake):
Kate lives in Cary and has 21 years of community advocacy in North Carolina; her ties to Triangle nonprofit reach into a diversity of organizations—with missions focused on arts, education, faith, and community outreach. Kate brings us the experience to expand our resources, clientele and marketability of our services in Wake County. Her role with ESC is focused on business development and consultant recruitment in Wake County.
- Terri Buchanan - Administrative Assistant:Originally from Michigan, Terri was a project manager at General Motors/Electronic Data Systems. Terri became involved in the start up of new PTA and Band Booster organizations for her children’s schools after moving to North Carolina in 1998. She is currently the treasurer of the Matt Cossa Memorial, an organization which raises research funds for Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center.
